Welcome to the Official website of the 44th Irish Farmers Journal Queen of the Land Festival hosted by Offaly Macra na Feirme.
Congratulations of Offaly Queen Sinead Mulcahy the 2009 Irish Farmers Journal Queen of the Land. Sinead has the honour of being only the second Offaly Queen of the Land in 44 years. Congratulations also go to runners up Marie Therese Kennedy from Kilkenny and Michelle Nolan from Carlow.
This year as in every year, the festival will welcome a host of beautiful girls to the Faithful County. Over three event packed days they will be appraised by a distinguished judging panel who will take into account appearance, personality, energy, confidence, dress sense, rural knowledge and elocution to choose the contestant which best exudes the qualities of today's modern rural woman.
